This database, edited as a CD-Rom (MARAM, "trees" in many South India languages) - the first of its kind in an electronic form in India - give informations on the multiple usages of trees of farms. It includes totally 269 tree species, with 19 endemic species in 544 farms of varying sizes, scaterred in more than 61 districts among 3 states : Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The CD, laced with 1500 images, presents the morphology, the farming methods, usages and ecological advantages of these trees.
